• $113,526 - $127,181 per annum plus superannuation (dependent on experience)

About the team

The Organisational Development team plays a key role in shaping Kingston’s employee experience through leadership development, organisational culture, inclusion, wellbeing and engagement initiatives. We work across the organisation to create a workplace where people feel valued, connected, supported and empowered to perform at their best. Through an integrated approach to culture, inclusion and wellbeing, the team delivers strategic workforce initiatives, supports leaders, drives organisational change and helps achieve the objectives of Council’s Workforce Plan.

A bit about the role

We are looking for a Culture & Inclusion Lead to join our team. In this role, you will lead the delivery of Council's culture, inclusion and wellbeing strategy while partnering closely with leaders across the organisation to drive meaningful workforce outcomes. As a key leadership role within Organisational Development, you will balance strategic planning with hands-on program delivery, providing specialist advice, leading organisational initiatives, and acting as a key support and second-in-charge to the Team Leader Organisational Development. You will play a critical role in ensuring culture, inclusion and wellbeing are embedded as interconnected priorities that strengthen employee experience, engagement and organisational performance.

What you’ll deliver 

• Lead the design, implementation and evaluation of culture, inclusion and wellbeing strategies, programs and action plans.
• Drive delivery of Workforce Plan and legislative commitments, including Gender Equality Act initiatives, employee networks and organisational programs.
• Provide expert advice and support to leaders while fostering inclusive, high-performing and values-led workplace practices.
• Analyse workforce data, culture and engagement insights to inform strategy, measure impact and drive continuous improvement.

What You’ll Bring

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and demonstrated experience in organisational development, inclusion, wellbeing, employee engagement or workplace culture.
• Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with program and project delivery in a complex organisational environment.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, communication and leadership skills, with experience coaching and supporting leaders.
• Experience using data, research and insights to develop initiatives, evaluate outcomes and drive organisational improvement.
