Referral & Relationship Consultant – Mental Health & Allied Health

About the role

This is a dedicated relationship-development and referral-growth position. You will build relationships with health, disability, education, rehabilitation, veteran, community and corporate stakeholders and develop these relationships into sustainable referral pathways for Inner You Development. You will work closely with the Nurse Navigator, who supports service navigation and coordination. Together, these functions will help ensure referral opportunities are identified, progressed and connected with the right services.

Key responsibilities

• Building relationships with GPs and medical practices
• Developing relationships with NDIS Support Coordinators, Plan Managers and Recovery Coaches
• Engaging with schools, community organisations and disability providers
• Developing relationships with rehabilitation and workers' compensation providers
• Building connections across DVA and veteran networks
• Developing relationships with allied health and other healthcare providers
• Promoting services where clinicians currently have capacity
• Visiting practices and organisations and meeting with referral partners
• Following up existing and prospective referral relationships
• Identifying new referral pathways and partnership opportunities

• Strong professional communication and relationship-building skills
• Confidence approaching new organisations and stakeholders
• Experience developing and maintaining professional networks
• Strong follow-up skills
• The ability to work independently and manage your own pipeline
• Good organisational and record-keeping skills
• An understanding of healthcare, allied health, disability or community services
• The ability to communicate professionally with clinicians and external stakeholders
• Commercial awareness balanced with ethical healthcare practice
• A proactive and accountable approach to your work

Our team provides services across psychology, mental health social work, counselling, occupational therapy, speech pathology, dietetics, nursing/service navigation and group programs.
