Wholesale Buyer

Galleria Toyota is seeking an experienced and motivated Wholesale Buyer to join our automotive team.

Reporting to the Wholesale Manager, you will be responsible for inspecting, valuing and purchasing vehicles suitable for our pre-owned vehicle department. This role is ideal for someone with strong automotive knowledge, excellent negotiation skills and the confidence to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Sourcing and purchasing vehicles from a variety of channels

• Inspecting vehicles and completing accurate appraisals and valuations

• Liaising with purchasing agents, wholesale contacts and customers

• Maintaining communication between the pre-owned vehicle department and buying and selling agents

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders

• Completing all required paperwork accurately and efficiently

• Delivering a high standard of customer service

• Following workplace safety, security and dealership procedures

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous motor industry, vehicle sales, trade buying or mechanical experience

• Strong automotive knowledge and the ability to assess vehicle condition and value

• Excellent communication and follow-up skills

• Strong negotiation and telephone skills

• Sound computer skills and a diligent approach to paperwork

• The ability to work autonomously and effectively with key stakeholders

• A strong work ethic and self-motivated approach

• A current WA driver’s licence

• A current WA Motor Vehicle Salesperson’s Licence
