THE POSITION

Auto Corner is offering the unique opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Used Vehicle Buyer/Appraiser to help drive growth and profitability within our vehicle sales departments.

 This role offers the successful applicant a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of vehicle trades while being responsible for appraisals, purchasing and all wholesale activity.

 Our ideal candidate will be a positive person who is committed to aligning used vehicle sales activities with the broader business plan, and most importantly having a genuine desire to grow with the business.

We are looking for someone who is capable of managing the following:

» To accurately value and assess trade in vehicles for customers purchasing a new or used car.

» Liaising with fleet customers to assess fleet trades.

» Monitoring sales and product strategies, campaigns and events to optimise market share.

» Understanding the customer’s objectives, buying criteria and decision making processes, and forming long term business partnerships.

» Ring auctions and other wholesalers to determine their interest in purchasing a vehicle deemed a wholesale sale.

» Correctly complete valuation forms and associated paperwork

» Assessing if vehicles have been in an accident.

 Our ideal candidate will have:

»        Excellent knowledge of and experience in appraising vehicles

»        Experience with sales processes and selling techniques

»        Experience within the Automotive industry is essential 

»        Demonstrated high level mechanical knowledge including panel, parts and accessories

»        Strong understanding of vehicle models and the specifications of each model

»        Experience in attending auctions and purchasing vehicles

»        Demonstrated current knowledge with market value prices

»        Proactive forward thinker with excellent planning and organisational skills

»        Strong customer focus and the ability to communicate effectively

»        Ability to profile customer needs

»        Excellent negotiation skills

»        Sound knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and automotive DMS systems

»        A current Queensland Motor Dealer’s Licence is required at all times

»        Must hold a current unrestricted driver's licence
