About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Aged Care / Home Care Worker / AIN (Aged Care Nursing Assistant) to join the Rewilding Minds team on a casual basis. Based in Kings Beach, this role provides essential support and care to aged and vulnerable individuals, enabling them to maintain their quality of life and independence in their own homes or care settings. This position plays a vital role in our mission to deliver high-quality, person-centred care and support services. As a casual worker, you will have flexibility in your schedule whilst making a meaningful contribution to the wellbeing of those in our care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide personal care assistance including help with hygiene, bathing, grooming and dressing
Support clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, feeding and mobility
Assist with toileting and continence management with respect and dignity
Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients, including light housekeeping and laundry duties
Monitor and report on clients' wellbeing, health changes and any concerns to supervisors and nursing staff
Provide companionship, emotional support and encouragement to promote mental wellbeing
Assist with transport to medical appointments and community activities where required
Maintain accurate and confidential care records and documentation
Work collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement person-centred care plans
Demonstrate respect for clients' privacy, dignity, preferences and cultural background at all times
What We're Looking For
Current or willingness to obtain a Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent qualification
Current or willingness to obtain an aged care or disability support worker certification
A compassionate, patient and empathetic approach to care delivery
Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with clients and team members
Physical capability to assist with personal care tasks and mobility support
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Excellent time management and organisational skills
A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and protecting client privacy
Current working with children clearance (WWC) or willingness to obtain one
Reliability, punctuality and professional conduct in all interactions
Prior experience in aged care, disability support or community services is highly valued
Flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings and weekends as required
