Portfolio Planning Lead

What you’ll be doing
As a Planning Lead within our Technology Enablement team, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we plan and deliver our technology portfolio.
Reporting to the Manager, Technology, Strategy and Advisory, you’ll own the facilitation of quarterly and annual planning cycles end-to-end, ensuring the right structure, inputs and alignment are in place to drive effective delivery across a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.In this role, you will:
Lead end-to-end planning cycles, including quarterly and annual planning ceremonies, working sessions and executive reviewsEnsure the right inputs, outputs and stakeholders are aligned across each planning cycleFacilitate cross-domain dependency management, identifying risks, blockers and trade-offsChampion consistent planning practices across teams, supporting adoption in a transforming technology environmentBuild strong relationships across delivery teams, program leadership and executives to drive alignment and decision-makingPresent resourcing views and planning insights to leadership to support prioritisation and maximise delivery outcomesDevelop and maintain planning playbooks, processes and governance frameworksContinuously improve planning approaches, iterating based on feedback and outcomesDrive adoption of planning tools and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, including through automation or AISupport portfolio visibility, including tracking initiative progress, resource utilisation and delivery outcomes
This is a highly visible role at the centre of our technology delivery model, helping ensure we are set up to deliver effectively at scale.
You’ll be great in this role if you have…Experience in planning, delivery, business analysis or program roles within a complex, multi-stakeholder environmentDemonstrated experience facilitating planning cycles or large-scale workshops across multiple teamsStrong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and align senior leadersExcellent communication skills, including the ability to present clearly to executive audiencesAbility to balance big-picture thinking with strong attention to detailExperience working in ambiguity and driving outcomes in evolving environmentsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively identify and escalate risksDesirable:Experience in scaled or cross-domain planning (e.g. SAFe, LPM or similar frameworks)Experience within technology or digital delivery environmentsFamiliarity with tools such as Jira or similar planning platformsExposure to governance design, portfolio management or operating model transformationInterest or experience in leveraging AI or automation to improve planning processes
