About the role
Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd (ANI) is the owner, developer and manager of the Osborne Naval Shipyards, supporting the Commonwealth’s Naval Shipbuilding Plan. ANI is responsible designing, constructing and managing the shipyard infrastructure, including the new Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard to support the AUKUS program, and operating and maintaining common use facilities.
ANI plays a pivotal role in delivering Australia’s naval shipbuilding capability, contributing to one of the nation’s most significant and complex infrastructure programs. Based in Adelaide, our work underpins the future of naval shipbuilding through world-class infrastructure at Osborne.
ANI has an opportunity for an experienced Internal Communications Lead to join its Communications and Engagement team in Adelaide.
Reporting to the Strategic Communications Manager, you will support the planning and delivery of internal communications that keep employees informed, engaged and connected to organisational priorities. You will work closely with leaders, business areas and subject matter experts to translate information into clear, relevant and engaging communications across multiple internal channels.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Deliver internal communications plans, campaigns and employee updates aligned with ANI’s organisational priorities
Create and publish engaging content across SharePoint, email, newsletters and other internal channels
Develop communications materials for leaders, including key messages, presentations, talking points and briefing notes
Coordinate internal communication requests, approvals, content calendars and all-staff communications
Partner with business areas and subject matter experts to translate complex information into clear, audience-focused content
About You:
You will be a collaborative and highly organised communications professional with strong writing and editing capability and a genuine focus on employee engagement. You will be comfortable working across multiple business areas, managing competing priorities and translating complex information into clear, practical and engaging communications.
You will also have:
Experience delivering internal communications, including employee updates, newsletters, intranet content, leader communications and internal campaigns
Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills, with the ability to tailor content for different internal audiences
Experience using SharePoint or similar digital communication and intranet platforms
Strong stakeholder management and organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities, deadlines and approvals
Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, digital communications or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
