Project Support Officer - Program Management Office

We are seeking an experienced Project Support Officer to join the Reef Authority’s Business Operations section as a Program Management Office (PMO) Support Officer.

This is a fast-paced role requiring close collaboration with responsible officers to meet reporting and compliance requirements. You will contribute to the coordination, delivery and reporting of the Annual Operating Plan and Capital Works program, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

The role will also contribute to continuous improvement of project management and reporting practices through the development and maintenance of Microsoft 365 solutions, including Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate and SharePoint Online.

What you’ll do

As the PMO Support Officer, you will:

• provide administrative and project support, including for a Capital Works program, maintaining project records and documentation and monitoring schedules, actions and key milestones
• support project governance, compliance and progress reporting requirements
• liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support effective communication, information flow and coordination of program and reporting activities
• develop and maintain project and program reporting, including reports, dashboards and supporting materials for the Annual Operating Plan and other strategic reporting
• contribute to continuous improvement of PMO processes and practices, including identifying opportunities to create efficiencies and streamline processes
• develop and maintain Microsoft 365 solutions using SharePoint, Power Automate, Power Apps and Power BI, including workflows, system improvements, reports and dashboards.

What you’ll bring

You will have:

• demonstrated experience providing project support for Capital Works or complex projects, including monitoring schedules, budgets and deliverables and supporting governance and reporting requirements
• well-developed written communication and reporting skills, with the ability to prepare accurate, timely and high-quality project documentation, progress reports and briefings
• strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail
• effective stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to liaise professionally with internal and external stakeholders
• the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team, contributing positively within a Program Management Office or project office environment.
