We're opening our doors in Adelaide, and we're looking for an exceptional HR Business Partner to be THE HR presence on the ground. This isn't just another BP role, it's a rare opportunity to shape the people experience for an entire location from day one. And then help us grow the operation as A&G continues its phenomenal growth profile
As the sole HR representative in Adelaide, you'll have autonomy and the ability to partner directly with a GM and leaders across multiple divisions. Whilst, you’ll be supported by a dynamic HR team in Queensland, you'll be the trusted advisor on the ground that leaders turn to, whilst supporting the delivery of A&Gs strategic people plans. You will be a key part of the HR team and on-the-ground champion rolling out enterprise-wide initiatives with local impact.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where you'll:
Support our Adelaide operations, build relationships, drive culture, and be the go-to for all things people
Partner with senior leaders across multiple portfolios
Help deliver strategic people plans and roll out initiatives on the ground
Work across the full employee lifecycle from talent and performance to ER, safety and Learning & Development
Grow with the business. As A&G significant growth continues and as we grow our Adelaide site, so does the scope and opportunity in this role.
What You'll Be Doing (Key Accountabilities)
This is a hands-on, high-accountability role:
Lead employee relations issues on the ground; performance management, conduct and attendance issues, investigations, and advisory across all levels
Deliver trusted HR advice on policies, procedures, Enterprise Agreement and Award interpretation to leaders
Drive talent and capability; support career development, facilitate leadership upskill sessions, and lift people capability across the business
Execute people plans and BTO (Best Trained Organisation) initiatives locally, ensuring enterprise strategy lands with Adelaide context and care
Manage Tier 2 HR queries and triage complex matters, working autonomously while knowing when to escalate or collaborate
Prepare reporting and insights to inform divisional people decisions and contribute to strategic planning alongside Senior HR partners
What You'll Bring
We're looking for a, resourceful HR professional who thrives with autonomy and complexity:
Proven HR experience, with at least 2 years in an advisory or BP capacity
Previous experience within Employee Relations capacity with, hands-on experience managing performance, conduct, absence, investigations, and employee relations matters
Volume environment background, ideally retail, hospitality, call centre, or similar fast-paced, people-intensive settings
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a relevant field
Comfortable with ambiguity, you're building something new, so flexibility and adaptability are key
The ability to works autonomously, you don't need your hand held; you thrive on ownership and accountability
Balances conflicting priorities with logic, resourcefulness, and a growth mindset
Confident across leadership levels as you can influence, advise, and challenge with discretion and professionalism.
