Logistics Controller: Import / Export

About the Role:

As Export Logistics Controller, you'll play a pivotal role in enabling The Arnott's Group export strategy by ensuring the efficient, compliant and on-time movement of finished goods to international customers and intercompany destinations. Reporting to the Logistics Operations Manager, you'll be the central point of coordination across planning, manufacturing, customer service, logistics providers and export customers, helping deliver exceptional service across global markets.

This is a highly visible role suited to a proactive logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building strong stakeholder relationships, and is passionate about driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.

What Your Day Looks Like:

• Coordinating export, intercompany and drop shipment orders with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers and 3PL partners to ensure on-time and compliant deliveries.
• Acting as the key contact for export logistics enquiries, proactively managing shipment issues, risks and service disruptions.
• Monitoring export forecasts, inventory availability and shipment schedules to ensure customer commitments are achieved.
• Preparing and reviewing export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists and bills of lading, ensuring compliance with international trade requirements.
• Tracking logistics KPIs, analysing performance trends and developing reports that support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Partnering closely with Manufacturing, Planning, Customer Service and Finance teams to deliver outstanding customer outcomes and support strategic export initiatives.

• Proven experience in export logistics, international freight, supply chain or a similar operational logistics role.
• Strong understanding of export documentation, customs requirements and international transportation processes.
• Experience working with SAP ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent planning, analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with strong attention to detail.
• Proven ability to build effective relationships and influence a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
