Accommodation & Guest Services Coordinator (Live-In)

Our client is the Avoca Beach Hotel, a well-established family-owned hospitality business located on 15 acres in Avoca Beach on the NSW Central Coast. The business operates a range of hospitality offerings including accommodation, Saltwater Bar & Bistro, Treetops Café, Sports Bar, Gaming and TAB facilities, event and conference spaces, and a drive-through bottle shop.

The accommodation division features 78 rooms, including self-contained and motel-style options, along with guest facilities such as swimming pools and tennis courts. The team is committed to delivering exceptional service and memorable experiences for both the local community and visitors.

The primary purpose of this position is to support the day-to-day operation of the accommodation business while assisting across reception, housekeeping, café operations, food and beverage service, and after-hours guest support.

This is a live-in position based onsite at Avoca Beach Hotel and includes responsibility for attending the after-hours guest assistance phone 5 nights per week. The role is for a single person, but the accommodation available may suit a couple seeking a lifestyle opportunity on the NSW Central Coast.

Reporting directly to the Accommodation Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Managing front desk reception enquiries via phone, email, online channels and third-party accommodation providers
• Coordinating housekeeping staff, cleaning rosters, inventory management and room availability
• Ensuring smooth guest check-in and check-out experiences
• Responding to guest enquiries, requests and complaints professionally and efficiently
• Assisting with the operation of Treetops Café and broader food and beverage services
• Maintaining workplace health and safety and food safety standards
• Assisting with weekend, public holiday and occasional evening work requirements
• Providing after-hours guest assistance, including late check-ins and issue resolution
• Working closely with the Accommodation Manager, General Manager and wider team to support business success

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous accommodation experience in a similar role
• Experience using RMS Reservation System, or the ability to quickly learn new digital management systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• A reliable, hands-on and proactive approach
• A collaborative team-focused attitude
• Experience with functions and events will be highly regarded but is not essential.
