About the role
About the role
We are seeking an experienced and reliable HC/MC Truck Driver to join our cartage and transport operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of materials to construction sites, quarries, and other customer locations. The role requires a strong focus on safety, Chain of Responsibility (CoR), vehicle care, accurate delivery documentation and professional customer service.
Key responsibilities
Safely operate company heavy vehicles in accordance with all road and workplace regulations.
Transport and deliver materials such as quarry products, soil, gravel, sand and other cartage materials.
Load and unload materials safely and ensure loads are secure and compliant.
Complete deliveries to construction sites, quarries and customer locations.
Follow delivery instructions, site requirements and traffic management procedures.
Complete required delivery dockets, paperwork and electronic records accurately.
Conduct daily pre-start and vehicle safety inspections.
Report any vehicle defects, maintenance requirements, incidents or hazards immediately.
Maintain the truck in a clean and presentable condition.
Comply with fatigue management requirements, work/rest hours and Chain of Responsibility obligations.
About you
Current HC or MC Australian driver's licence.
Must have Road Ranger experience
Previous experience in tipper, quarry, construction or cartage operations preferred.
Good knowledge of road transport and heavy vehicle safety requirements.
Understanding of Chain of Responsibility and fatigue management requirements.
Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
Ability to complete paperwork and use electronic delivery systems where required.
Good understanding of construction site safety requirements.
Ability to pass company/site induction requirements.
