EOI - Heritage Monitors

Are you a Larrakia person interested in Heritage Monitoring and caring for Country?

LDC have contracts coming up, and searching for Larrakia to expand our pool of knowledge.

We are seeking EOI's for various levels of Heritage Monitor.

Please indicate in your cover letter the level you are applying for and your experience to justify: 

• Junior (Under 18)
• Trainee (Inexperienced, any age)
• Established (Experienced Monitor)
• Senior (Experienced Monitor and able to Lead a Team on various site)
• Mentor (Experienced Monitor and able to assist with training, mentoring and reporting)

About the role:

• Contract work as required
• Casual work depending on external contracts

A Monitor will be expected to diligently carry out their responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• observing the land use activity with the intention of identifying evidence of Aboriginal heritage;
• reporting on findings
• assist with research and historical information as required
• assist with securing locations or relocation of significant items as required
• adhere to all the relevant compliance requirements of the location (e.g. safety and occupational health procedures); and
• comply with relevant timeframes and schedules.

Essential:

• Larrakia 
• White Card
• Experience and justification on level of Role Applied for

Desirable:

• Darwin based
• Current Drivers Licence
