Job Description We are seeking a qualified and experienced Indian cook to join our catering team. The successful applicant must have a minimum of two years’ experience preparing authentic Indian cuisine in a commercial kitchen, with experience in high-volume catering or function service preferred. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook authentic Indian cuisine for weddings, corporate events, private functions, and outdoor catering.
• Prepare ingredients, sauces, marinades, and other food items to ensure efficient service.
• Assist with menu planning and the preparation of catering menus.
• Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation meet company standards.
• Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
• Train and supervise cooks and kitchen staff where required.
• Assist with stock control, food preparation planning, and minimising food wastage.
• Work collaboratively with the catering team to ensure the timely preparation and delivery of food for events.

Requirements

• Minimum two years’ experience as an Indian cook.
• Strong knowledge of authentic Indian cuisine and cooking techniques.
• Experience preparing food for catering events or function centres is highly desirable.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
