Permanent Part Time Medical Receptionist

Candidates must have a minimum of 12 months experience in medical reception in a private surgical practice or procedurally based medical specialty practice. Experience only in an allied health or general practice setting would not be considered sufficient experience for this role.

This is a permanent part time position and is not suitable for the candidate who seeks a full time work.

Working days would be Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 0930 to 1800 in a private surgical practice based at the Chris O'Brien Lifehouse in Camperdown.

The role involves receiving patient enquires and liaising with medically related partners, patient billings and managing the surgeon's calendar. The candidate must have experience with work in a specialist surgical practice and be familiar with billing for private surgical procedures.

Proficiency in Genie specialist practice management system or similar software is essential. Examples of acceptable practice management software experience would include Gentu, Shexie, BlueChip, Clinic to Cloud and Xestro but not platforms primarily used by general practitioners or allied health professionals. If not familiar with Genie but have appropriate experience, full training would be provided.

This position is available for an immediate start.

Pay: $30.00 – $45.00 per hour
