Cafe All Rounder

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and versatile Café All Rounder to join the team at Silver Fox Cafe Gulgong. This is a part-time position based in Gulgong, NSW 2852. As a Café All Rounder, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional food and beverage experiences to our valued customers. You will work across multiple areas of the café, including food preparation, cooking, and customer service, ensuring seamless operations during service. This role offers the perfect opportunity to develop your culinary skills in a welcoming and dynamic hospitality environment.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and cooking a variety of café menu items, including hot and cold beverages, breakfast items, and light meals

• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety in accordance with relevant regulations and café policies

• Operating café equipment such as espresso machines, grills, ovens, and other cooking appliances

• Taking customer orders and providing friendly, efficient service at the counter and tables

• Plating and presenting food items attractively and consistently

• Assisting with food and beverage stock rotation and inventory management

• Supporting the team with general cleaning and maintenance of the café space

• Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth service during peak periods

• Following recipes and café standards whilst being open to suggestions for menu development

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality environment is highly desirable

• Competency in food preparation and basic cooking techniques

• Experience or willingness to learn espresso machine operation and beverage preparation

• Strong customer service skills and a friendly, professional demeanour

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, or willingness to obtain relevant certifications

• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities

• Flexibility with scheduling for part-time availability

• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable customer experiences
