About the role
Ready to join Handsome Max and his team?
We are seeking an experienced and driven Cafe All Rounder to join our Handsome Max team!
Operating Hours: Sunday - Wednesday 7:30am- 3pm, Thursday 7:30am- 4pm, Friday 7:30am-9pm, Saturday 7:30am-4pm.
Location: Glenelg East - close to transport and plenty of free off-street parking.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing high-quality coffee and beverages consistently
Supervising daily café operations during your shifts
Supporting and guiding team members on the floor
Delivering warm, friendly, and professional customer service
Ensuring café standards for cleanliness, presentation, and food safety
Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues calmly and professionally
Working café operating hours - this is a hands-on role, alongside Max's team!
Cooking Experience - Ability to work alongside our chefs during busy breakfast and lunch service would be advantageous.
About You
Minimum 2 years' barista experience in a busy café
RSA and RP badge- we are a licensed cafe (or ability to obtain these certificates)
Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Confident working under pressure in a fast-paced environment amongst a small team of staff.
Strong communication and people skills
Reliable, organized, super efficient and proactive at all times
Passion and enthusiasm for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences, love what you do, and Max's customers will love you back!
Strong practical café skills are essential, and the role requires the ability to stand for extended periods and remain active during long, busy service hours.
Hours of Work
Specific working days to be discussed during the interview process, however weekends are essential.
Our company has the ability to discuss a flexible a role for a casual, part time or full-time position dependent on the applicant, with room for growth and management progression.
