H-E Parts Engineering are part of the H-E Parts International group, which is in turn a division of Hitachi.  We provide machining services for Mining, Maritime, Oil and Gas and a variety of other commercial customers. Over the last 30 years, we have built a reputation of a consistently high level of service. We have a large range of size of machines and operating systems, that include, Mazatrol, Fanuc, Okuma and Siemens.

The Opportunity

A fantastic full-time permanent opportunity is available for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team at our Naval Base workshop.

The successful candidates will need to program, set and run machines. You would be responsible for the overall operation of the machine, its productivity and standard of work produced. Mastercam experience will be highly regarded. 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Programming and operating CNC Machines, Vertical lathe experience to produce parts as per specifications.

• Ability to use measuring tools to achieve required tolerances.

• Adhere to H-E Parts Engineering’s quality and safety management systems.

• Training and buddy up on large machines provided if lacking experience.

To be successful in these positions you will need:

• Relevant work experience

• Trade certificate (Fitter and Machinist)

• Ability to demonstrate a high level of safety awareness and attention to detail.

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties.

• Supervisory experience (highly advantageous but not essential)

• Night shift available, penalty rates apply (highly advantageous)
