Fitter Machinist / Engine Reconditioner

Location: Forrestfield, Western Australia

Quantum Diesel Engineering Services is a rapidly growing family-owned business specialising in engine and general machining for the Mining, Transport, Marine, and Power Generation industries. We are seeking a motivated Engine Machinist to join our team and contribute to our continued success.

Key Responsibilities

• Measuring, quoting and machining engine components – blocks, crankshafts, conrods etc

• Fitting of sleeves and bushes

• General machining, - manual milling and turning

• Crack testing, polishing and grinding crankshafts

• Cylinder head machining

• Cylinder block machining

• Conrod machining

• Completing job cards and reports as required

Requirements

• Qualification in Fitting and Turning or as an Engine Reconditioner

• Previous experience in a similar environment working with Cummins and Caterpillar products is considered advantageous

• High attention to detail

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Valid C Class Driver’s Licence

• Forklift licence (advantageous)

• Permanent work rights with no restrictions
