MANAGER TAX & BUSINESS SERVICES – TOWNSVILLE - ESTABLISHED ADVISORY FIRM (JOB ID 1484)

With decades of success and a team of 70+ professionals, this firm offers a full-service approach including accounting, tax, financial planning, SMSF, audit and business advisory.

The Role: 

• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients across accounting, tax and business advisory  

• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships  

• Oversee preparation and review of financial statements and tax returns  

• Provide practical business, tax planning, and advisory support to clients  

• Ensure work is delivered accurately, efficiently, and within deadlines  

• Liaise with clients and the ATO on a range of matters  

• Lead, mentor, and support a small team of accountants  

• Review work and provide clear, constructive feedback  

• Manage workflow, priorities, and team performance  

• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across systems and processes  

• Work closely with Partners to support client outcomes and business growth 

About You: 

• 5+ years’ experience in business services / public practice  

• CA or CPA qualification  

• Strong knowledge of Australian tax and accounting standards  

• Experience managing client relationships and delivering advisory support  

• Proven ability to lead, mentor, or support junior team members  

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills  

• Experience technical with Xero, XPM, ATO Portal and Microsoft Office  

• You’re proactive, organised and solutions-focused 

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes
