MANAGER – TAX & BUSINESS SERVICES – BRISBANE – LONG ESTABLISHED ADVISORY FIRM (JOB ID 1545)

Our client, is a long-established and highly regarded integrated accounting and financial services firm with over 70 years of history and a strong presence across Queensland. With a team of 75+ professionals across multiple locations, the firm delivers accounting, tax, financial planning, SMSF, audit and business advisory services to a diverse client base. Their Brisbane office offers the opportunity to be part of a growing metropolitan team within a well-resourced, multi-disciplinary business. 

The Role: 

• Manage a portfolio of clients across tax, accounting, and business advisory  

• Deliver financial statements, tax returns, and compliance work to a high standard  

• Provide strategic tax planning and business advisory services  

• Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships  

• Work closely with Partners on complex client matters and firm strategy  

• Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of accountants  

• Oversee workflow, deadlines, and lodgement requirements  

About You: 

• Degree qualified in Accounting or related discipline  

• CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent postgraduate qualification)  

• 5+ years’ experience in public practice / business services  

• Strong technical knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax legislation  

• Proven experience managing client portfolios and delivering advisory services  

• Leadership experience, including mentoring and reviewing staff work  

• Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills  

• Proficient with Xero, XPM, Microsoft Office and ATO Portal
