Casual Early Childhood Educators – All Qualification Levels

Country Kids Woongoolba is looking for some wonderful casual educators to join our team and become our go-to people for planned leave, training and occasional sick-day coverage.

We’re happy to hear from educators at all qualification and experience levels - whether you’re new to Early Childhood, working towards your qualification, Certificate III qualified, Diploma qualified, or an experienced educator looking for flexible work without committing to a permanent roster.

This isn’t about building a huge list of casuals who barely know our children or our service. We’d love to build a small, reliable casual team who get to know our children, families, routines and educators and genuinely feel like part of Country Kids.

Our Woongoolba service has a strong focus on relationships, teamwork, play-based learning and creating a nurturing environment where both children and educators can thrive. This builds on the same close-knit culture highlighted in our previous Woongoolba recruitment.

Our casual educators will support the service by covering planned annual leave, training and other rostered absences, as well as occasional sick leave.

We want our casuals to become familiar faces - people who know our children, understand our routines and feel comfortable walking into the service when we need an extra pair of hands.

You might be studying Early Childhood, returning to the sector, working around family commitments, looking for some additional days, or simply wanting the flexibility of casual work while still belonging to a team.

• Create meaningful, play-based learning experiences for children

• Build positive and respectful relationships with children and families

• Work collaboratively with our educators and leadership team

• Actively supervise children and understand that safeguarding is everyone's responsibility

• Communicate openly and professionally with children, families and colleagues

• Work confidently across different rooms and age groups

• Support the routines and daily needs of the service

• Hold a current Working with Children Blue Card

• Are available to work across our opening hours of 7:30am–5:30pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to work varying shifts across these hours

• Hold or are working towards an Early Childhood qualification, or are interested in beginning your Early Childhood career

• Are warm, reliable and genuinely enjoy being with children

• Value teamwork and positive relationships

• Are willing to work across different rooms and age groups

• Understand the importance of safeguarding and active supervision

• Are someone we can rely on when you've accepted a shift

Woongoolba's current advertised operating hours are 7:30am–5:30pm.
