Senior Technical Service Engineer

At Nanosonics, we're driven by innovation that improves patient safety around the world. Due to an internal promotion, we’re now looking for an experienced Senior Technical Service Engineer to join our Service & Support team.

This is a senior technical role where you'll influence the serviceability of new products from development through to commercialisation, provide expert technical leadership across our global service network, and play a key role in driving product quality and continuous improvement.

About the Role

Reporting to the Global Service Support Operations Manager, you'll work closely with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Sales and our global service teams to develop world-class service solutions that support the entire product lifecycle.

You'll be the technical expert for complex product issues, lead investigations into returned products, contribute to new product development, and ensure our global service teams and partners have the knowledge, tools and training to deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of service requirements for new product development projects, including service verification and validation activities.
• Represent Service within cross-functional development teams, ensuring serviceability is embedded into product design.
• Develop and enhance global service processes, repair procedures, technical documentation and training programs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to internal service teams, distributors and service partners worldwide.
• Lead root cause investigations of returned products, analyse field performance trends and support product quality improvements.
• Provide expert technical support for complex customer issues, product investigations and aftermarket support activities.
• Support Design, Manufacturing and Quality teams with product validation, investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all service activities comply with Quality Management System (QMS), GMP and WHS requirements.

About You

You're an experienced technical service professional who enjoys solving complex engineering problems and collaborating across global teams. You have a customer-first mindset, strong analytical capability and the confidence to lead technical discussions across multiple functions.

You'll bring:

• A Bachelor's degree in Biomedical, Mechatronics, Electronics or a related Engineering discipline.
• 5+ years' experience in Technical Service, Field Service, Manufacturing or Product Support Engineering.
• Experience within the medical device or another highly regulated industry.
• Strong understanding of electromechanical products, manufacturing processes and product lifecycle support.
• Experience supporting design verification and validation activities and working with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Knowledge of GMP, quality systems and controlled documentation.
• Experience using ERP and CRM systems.
• Strong project planning, communication and presentation skills.
