Commercial Plant and Equipment Mechanic - Vineyard NSW

Due to our continued growth, we have an opportunity for a commercial plant and equipment mechanic to join our maintenance team in Vineyard NSW, with some site work required.  We are looking for a physically fit candidate with good attention to detail and a good attitude for the position. This role would ideally suit someone that wants to join a busy company where every day is different than the one before it.

Competitive salary/package pending experience and company vehicle provided.

NB: A pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol screening is required for this role

Primary duties:

• General routine servicing and repairs to various types of drill rigs, grout stations, excavators, drill attachments, compressors, water carts, light, and heavy vehicles

• Inspect, repair and overhaul of all major mechanical and hydraulic components

• Workshop and on site-based role with service truck provided for site maintenance and breakdowns

• Fault finding and diagnostic works both on site and in workshop

• Welding and fabrication where required

• Work alongside and report directly to NSW plant & maintenance manager

• Maintain detailed records of serviced plant & vehicles

• Keep work areas clean and adhere to all safety procedures

In addition - experience with the following plant is a must:

• Piling rigs

• Drilling rigs

• Grout stations

• Air compressors

• Excavators and attachments

Qualifications and skills:

• Must have relative Australian recognised trade qualification

• 5+ years’ experience as a Diesel Mechanic

• Very high safety focus

• Team player and can-do attitude

• Good mechanical skills and job know how

• Good interpersonal skills.

• Excellent verbal communication skills.

• Good organisation skills

• Auto electrical knowledge is desirable but not a deal breaker
