Storeperson / Machine Operator

Associated Gaskets is a growing organisation focused on the fabrication & supply of industrial products & materials for numerous industries.  With an expanding customer base made up of companies scattered throughout Australia and the Asia-Pacific, AG is a well established, private company that remains, after 50+ years, wholly Australian and family owned.

We are looking for someone to fill our Storeperson / Machine Operator position in our Geebung office. This position is a full-time position with a 38 hour work week and will report directly to our Queensland Manager. It involves a variety of different tasks and responsibilities, including:

• Safe operation of our Knife cutting machine.

• Meeting customer deadlines of manufactured products.

• Receiving goods in and checking for quality and accuracy.

• Utilising our various computer systems to dispatch orders, correct stock quantities and receive purchases.

• Packing and dispatching to customers throughout Australia (and overseas).

• Picking items.

• Responding to factory requests for material.

• Performing both scheduled and ad-hoc stock-takes to assist with customer enquiries.

• Booking and working with couriers and various other contractors.

• General housekeeping and cleaning work.

• Occasional answering of phones and liaising with stakeholders via email.

The successful applicant will have:

• Be available to work full time, Monday to Friday each week.

• Have basic knowledge of computer systems typically used in business environments.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Good communication skills.

• A willingness to learn and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
