PRIVATE CHEF

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Chef to cater for the day to day meal requirements of a family in their private home. You should be knowledgeable about different dietary requirements, including vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free and other dietary restrictions, and be able to prepare meals that meet these requirements. You will design a weekly menu of breakfast, morning tea, lunches, afternoon teas and dinners, incorporating fresh ingredients.

Key responsibilities

• Plan menus based on dietary preferences, restrictions, and seasonal availability

• Demonstrate passion and expertise in providing high quality, interesting, delicious and nutritious meals

• Source and purchase high-quality ingredients from specialty shops, farmer's markets, and other suppliers

• Manage food purchases, cool room and pantry stock control sourcing the freshest and finest food locally available

• Keep the kitchen clean and organised, maintain inventory of ingredients, and ensure that all equipment is properly maintained

• Adhere to Food Safety requirements in preparation and storage of all food and clean and sanitise all kitchen areas in accordance with HACCP regulations

• Prepare meals for special events or parties hosted by the family

About you

• Chef qualifications with 3 years experience (Required)

• Full Driver Licence (Required)

• Work Authorisation: Australia (Required)

• Friendly, reliable and hardworking

• High level of cleanliness and pride in attention to detail

• Enjoy cooking

• Non-smoker
