MOHS Laboratory Technician - Casual

About The Role

We have a great opportunity for an experienced MOHS Lab Technician to join our hospital team on a casual basis Monday to Friday.

Duties And Responsibilities

This role will see you working collaboratively with both the administrative and clinical teams, to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.

Process and embed tissue specimens using freezing techniquesAdvise team on test methodology and interpretationRecord all lab activities, procedures and equipment maintenancePerform routine and specialised staining proceduresManage lab stock ensuring availability of consumables

About You

You have a genuine passion for providing world-class customer service and patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:

Solid experience in a similar roleTertiary qualifications in Laboratory Science or Applied ScienceUnderstanding of NSQHS standards and infection controlKnowledge of legislative requirements and reporting responsibilities of hospitalsHigh attention to detail and quality control

About Mt Hawthorn Day Hospital

Mount Hawthorn Day Hospital in Perth WA is a Class B accredited day hospital with 4 Operating Theatres, which specialises in Mohs Surgery, General Dermatology and Vasectomy services.

All of our patients walk in and out of theatre and whilst we have restricted patient numbers, the patients have multiple visits to surgery per day resulting in a fast paced but rewarding environment.
