Freight Services Supervisor

Sands Fridge Lines is a leader in refrigerated distribution and cold storage in Western Australia. Family owned and operating a large and diverse fleet, along with extensive cold and dry storage facilities, Sands Fridge Lines services customers across both the Perth metropolitan area and regional Western Australia.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Freight Services Supervisor to support the management and coordination of freight volumes across several major high-volume service accounts.

This role is critical in helping maintain our high service standards and ensuring that key customer requirements are managed professionally, efficiently, and with a strong focus on communication and follow-through.

Reporting to the Major Account Manager, the primary purpose of this role is to support the valued relationships between Sands Fridge Lines and its customers. You will liaise closely with customers, management, drivers, warehouse staff, and internal teams to help achieve service standards, maximise efficiencies, and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Monitor deliveries and proactively communicate ETA updates, delays and changes to customers and provide operational support.
• Provide outstanding customer service and resolve enquiries promptly.
• Ensure all dispatch documentation and logistics paperwork accuracy and compliance, escalating discrepancies promptly
• Build strong working relationships by delivering consistent and reliable communication
• Work closely with warehouse loaders, drivers, supervisors, and site teams to keep services departures flowing smoothly and that schedules are adhered to
• Coordinating and monitoring freight volumes for several major high-volume customer accounts with KPI reporting.
• Investigating and resolving customer freight queries in a timely, professional, and practical manner.
• Managing customers email and telephone enquiries with a strong focus on customer service and agreed quality standards.
• Maintaining accurate customer records
• Promptly up manage any changes in customer requirements or scope works
• Representing the company in a positive and professional manner at all times.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• An excellent reliability and attendance record
• Previous experience working within a transport, freight, logistics, or distribution business.
• Strong Geographical knowledge or Regional WA highly advantageous
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role within the transport industry.  
• Strong customer service focus with a commitment to supporting both external and internal customers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to build rapport with customers, team members, and internal stakeholders.
• Strong planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills.
• The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced transport environment.
• Strong attention to detail and sound numeracy skills.
• Computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office and operational systems.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach to resolving issues and supporting customer requirements.
