About the role

National Trade Supplier is seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter/Leading hand supervisor to join our team in Perth, WA. Full time or contract role available. Our focus is on Home Modifications to improve accessibility to enable Elderly or Disabled people remain in their existing family homes.

What you'll be doing

• Door widening and installation of slider doors

• Installing structural components including frames, joists, rafters and wall studs with precision and accuracy

• Installing doors, windows, cabinetry and other bespoke carpentry elements

• Installation of support handrails

• Simple formwork

• Wheelchair ramps and decking.

• Collaborating with other tradespeople, supervisors and clients to ensure projects run smoothly

• Maintaining tools and equipment in good working order and practising safe working practices at all times

• Potential to grow into a supervisory role.

What we're looking for

• Relevant carpentry qualifications or apprenticeship completion (or equivalent demonstrated experience)

• Proven experience working as a Carpenter in residential projects

• Strong proficiency with hand tools, power tools and carpentry equipment

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship

• Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions

• Reliability, punctuality and strong work ethic

• Excellent communication and teamworking skills

• Current driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites across Perth and surrounding areas

• Wide range of tasks would benefit someone with a willingness to learn additional skills such as Gyproc, concreting etc.
