EDI Site Services (EDI) is an independent, family-owned Queensland business in the Construction, Quarry and Mining Equipment Industries.

We are a successful repairer, supplier and hirer of a broad range of construction, mining and earthmoving equipment. We are currently looking for an experienced, highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a FIELD SERVICE DIESEL FITTER / MECHANIC working out of our facility in Yatala, QLD.

You will report directly to the Service Operations Manager and work with the Service Team whilst maintaining a "can do, will do" professional attitude and building a strong rapport with customers.

Our workshop is located in Yatala (South Brisbane / Northern Gold Coast) and the position has a 5 day week with an opportunity for overtime. Ideally you will reside in the Brisbane South or Northern Gold Coast regions and you will have the opportunity to take the Service Vehicle home each night which presents a significant cost saving for the family budget.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Breakdown and Repair work on various earthmoving equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and dump trucks

• Complete Component repairs and rebuilds

• Conduct inspections to identify issues and assess repair requirements

• Repair and replace damaged components, ensuring equipment is in optimal working condition

• Collaborate with Peers and Management to troubleshoot complex problems and find effective solutions

• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment

• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used

Qualifications:

• Diesel Fitting Trade Qualification is a must

• MR Truck License is ideal but not essential for this role

• Proven experience as an Earthmoving Diesel Fitter, with a strong background in Diagnostics and Component rebuilds is highly desirable

• Minimum of 5+ years of earthmoving diesel fitting experience is required

• Proficiency in using various tools and equipment relevant to Diesel Fitting

• Advanced proficiency in SIS and OEM software is essential for this role

• Safety-conscious mindset with the ability to adhere to established safety guidelines

• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing equipment issues

• Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment

• Australian citizenship is required for this position
