About the role
We are a leading RTO providing a range of quality accredited courses throughout Queensland.
We are seeking experienced, energetic, motivated, confident, and passionate Trainers & Assessors to provide medication administration training across Caboolture and surrounds.
As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to get out and about delivering this training to our corporate clients, which could include nursing homes, home and community care services, and hospitals.
We have multiple positions available — however, a trainer qualified to deliver multiple courses including First Aid will be highly regarded.
The Training Unit Covers:
The course unit covers preparation to provide medication assistance and complete medication documentation (medication charts). It also involves supporting a client to self-administer medication.
During The Practical, The Following Training Will Be Delivered:
checked care plan and confirming details
checked medication, including expiry dates and dosage instructions
confirmed client identity
calculated correct dosage
conducted pre- and post-administration client checks
cleaned equipment, disposed and stored medications according to organisation procedures, completed accurate documentation
required theory knowledge for medication management
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor of Nursing (RN) or
Diploma of Nursing (EN) or
Cert III in Aboriginal Primary Health Care (Aboriginal Health Worker)
Current AHPRA registration
Completed TAE40116 Cert IV Training and Assessment (or equivalent) OR actively studying toward this qualification
National Police Clearance
WWCC
1 year of work experience as a trainer preferred
