First Aid Trainer / Clinical Educator

As we continue to expand our operations across Tasmania, we're seeking an experienced and passionate First Aid Trainer / Clinical Educator to join our team. About the role 

As a First Aid Trainer / Clinical Educator, you'll be responsible for delivering engaging, evidence-based education to both internal staff and external students. You'll facilitate nationally recognised First Aid qualifications, contribute to Certificate III and Diploma-level programs, and provide clinical mentoring to operational personnel. 

This role combines education with operational support, allowing you to remain connected to frontline healthcare while helping develop the skills and confidence of our clinical workforce. 

Key responsibilities include: 

• Deliver nationally recognised First Aid and other accredited training programs.  

• Facilitate engaging classroom, practical and workplace-based learning.  

• Mentor and support operational staff through clinical education and preceptorship.  

• Develop and review training resources to ensure best practice and compliance.  

• Conduct student assessments and provide constructive feedback.  

• Maintain compliance, training records and assessment documentation.  

• Identify training needs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.  

• Support operational services including patient transport, events and industrial health when required.  

Skills and experience 

To be successful in this role you will possess: 

Essential 

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).  

• Current unrestricted AHPRA Registration (where applicable).  

• Demonstrated operational experience within pre-hospital healthcare.  

• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.  

• Strong written and verbal communication.  

• Exceptional organisational and time management skills.  

• Ability to engage, mentor and inspire learners of varying experience levels.  

• Strong commitment to patient-centred care and clinical excellence.  

Desirable 

• Experience delivering nationally recognised First Aid qualifications.  

• Experience within the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector.  

• Diploma of Emergency Care or higher-level clinical education experience.
