Benefits Competitive salary package aligned with experience  Opportunity to work on specialised 4x4 builds and custom projects  Supportive, skilled, and passionate team environment  Career development opportunities within a growing automotive business  Exposure to a diverse range of vehicles and advanced aftermarket systems  Task & responsibilities In this role, you will be required to: Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in light vehicles and 4x4 systems using appropriate diagnostic equipment and technical manuals  Carry out repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, suspension, steering, braking systems, and driveline components  Perform scheduled servicing in accordance with manufacturer specifications, including oil changes, fluid checks, and component inspections  Dismantle, repair, and reassemble vehicle components, ensuring all parts are tested and functioning correctly  Inspect vehicles and identify worn or defective parts, recommending appropriate repairs or replacements  Install, test, and maintain 4x4 accessories and modifications, including but not limited to:  Suspension upgrades (lift kits, shock absorbers)  Bull bars, winches, roof racks, and underbody protection  Dual battery systems and auxiliary electrical setups  Conduct electrical installations and fault-finding, including wiring, lighting systems, and aftermarket accessories  Perform full 4x4 vehicle fit-outs, ensuring integration between mechanical and electrical components  Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines, including relevant Australian Design Rules (ADR) where applicable  Maintain accurate service records and job documentation  Communicate with team members and customers regarding repair requirements and timelines    Qualification & experience Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a Motor Mechanic (2–3+ years highly desirable)  Relevant qualification in Automotive Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)  Demonstrated ability to perform diagnostics, repairs, and servicing across a range of vehicle systems  Experience or strong interest in 4x4 vehicles and aftermarket modifications (highly regarded)  Sound knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems  Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail  Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment  Commitment to workplace safety and high-quality workmanship    About Company OZ Canopies & 4X4, a reputable and growing provider of premium 4x4 accessories, vehicle modifications, and off-road fit-outs, This position is suited to a mechanically skilled professional with a strong interest in 4x4 vehicles, off-road performance, and vehicle customisation.
