Marketing Assistant

Join our Marketing Team and support the next year of our exciting new strategic plan. You’ll play a crucial supportive role in sharing Baptist World Aid’s stories with supporters, inspiring them in the fight against poverty and injustice.  

• Part Time Role (0.8FTE)—12-month contract (Parental Leave Cover)

About The Role  

As the Marketing Assistant, reporting to the Marketing Manager, you’ll help bring Baptist World Aid’s stories, campaigns and communications to life. You’ll support the team to create and share content across a range of channels, coordinate marketing activities, and help keep photos, videos and stories organised and ready to use. From managing digital content libraries and tracking communication materials to assisting with content creation, reporting and campaign delivery, you’ll play an important role in helping our work reach supporters and inspire action.  

As this role is for parental leave cover, we’re looking for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, managing multiple priorities and working closely with others to bring ideas and content to life. You’ll thrive in this role if you’re organised, detail-oriented and inspired by contributing to a shared purpose. 

We’re Looking For Someone who has:

• Alignment with the Christian Vision, Mission and Values of Baptist World Aid 
• A demonstrated interest in marketing, communications, digital media or fundraising 

• Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple requests and competing priorities Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders 

• Experience working with content management systems, digital asset libraries or similar online platforms. 

Desirable 

• Relevant TAFE or University qualifications in Business, Marketing, Communication, Digital Marketing or Public Relations 
• Basic design skills using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite 
• A passion for ending poverty
