Venue Manager

Spanning three distinct levels, Ember & Ash brings together a premium dining experience, a bustling rooftop destination, multiple bars, private event spaces and high-volume service in one of Brisbane's most exciting hospitality precincts.

We're looking for an exceptional Venue Manager to lead the venue into its next chapter.

This is a role for a proven hospitality leader who has successfully managed large, complex venues and understands what it takes to operate at a consistently high level. You'll be responsible for leading a substantial team, driving financial performance, delivering outstanding guest experiences and ensuring operational excellence across every level of the business.

About The Role:

Reporting directly to Head Office, you'll take ownership of every aspect of Ember & Ash's daily operations and long-term success.

This is a hands-on leadership position where no two days are the same. You'll lead from the front during service, analyse business performance, identify opportunities for growth and ensure every guest receives an exceptional experience.

As Venue Manager, you'll oversee multiple service offerings operating simultaneously, requiring strong organisational skills, commercial awareness and the ability to confidently manage competing priorities while maintaining exceptional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading the day-to-day operations across all areas of the venue.

• Building, mentoring and inspiring a high-performing management team.

• Driving exceptional guest experiences and service standards.

• Managing financial performance, including labour, wages, COGS and budgets.

• Developing strategies to grow revenue and maximise profitability.

• Maintaining compliance with licensing, WHS and food safety requirements.

• Working closely with Head Office to achieve business objectives.

• Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, training and succession planning.

• Creating a positive, accountable and performance-driven team culture.

• Ensuring the venue is consistently presented to the highest standard.

About You:

You'll be an experienced hospitality professional with a proven background managing premium venues, restaurants, bars or multi-faceted operations.

You'll bring:

• Previous experience as a Venue Manager.

• Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and KPIs.

• Outstanding leadership and people development skills.

• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.

• The ability to lead from the front while thinking strategically.

• Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.

• Confidence managing high-volume trade, events and busy service periods.

• Current RSA and Approved Manager License.
