Veterinary Receptionist

About the role

Gordon Vet Hospital, a busy, modern and well established veterinary hospital located on Sydney's leafy North Shore, is seeking an empathetic, passionate and motivated receptionist to join our reception team. We pride ourselves on our progressive attitude toward patient care and value a strong team bond that promotes professional and personal development. The role is for 38 hours per week, including a rotating weekend roster.

Key responsibilities

• Welcoming clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism and maintain strong relationships

• Managing appointments, phone calls, emails, and payments

• Supporting clinical workflow and ensuring accurate records

• Maintaining a tidy, organised, smooth-running reception area

• Working closely with our veterinary and nursing team to deliver high standard of care

About you

• Works effectively in a team environment

• Be able to work well under pressure and juggle multiple clients and phone calls

• Possess excellent customer service skills and a willingness to further them

• Possess exceptional communication skill and attention to detail, both written and verbal

• Has strong time management and organizational skills

• Have a caring and empathetic nature with the capacity to deal with all types of clients and situations

• Previous experience within the animal care industry is preferred
