Vineyard Vet Hospital is looking for a friendly, compassionate and highly organised Full-Time Receptionist to join our team.

About the Role

As the first point of contact for our clients and their pets, you’ll play an important role in creating a warm and welcoming experience. You’ll be responsible for providing excellent customer service while supporting the veterinary team with the day-to-day running of the hospital.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism
• Answering phones, emails and client enquiries
• Booking and managing appointments
• Checking clients and patients in and out
• Processing payments and handling cash/transactions
• Managing client records and maintaining accurate information
• Liaising with veterinarians, nurses and the wider team
• Assisting with general administrative and reception duties
• Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming reception area
• Providing compassionate support to clients during both routine and difficult visits

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Friendly, approachable and genuinely enjoys helping people
• Passionate about animals and their wellbeing
• Confident communicating with clients both in person and over the phone
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Calm and professional in a busy environment
• Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Comfortable multitasking and prioritising competing demands
• Previous veterinary reception or veterinary industry experience is highly regarded, but we are also open to the right person with strong customer service and administration experience
