About the role
WA Operations Supervisor
Hands-on leadership across a multi-site field operation
Perth, WA | Full-time | Monday to Friday | Company vehicle
An established national operator is looking for a capable supervisor to take ownership of its Western Australian operations.
This opportunity suits someone who enjoys leading people but still wants to be close to the day-to-day operation. You will spend time planning and coordinating work, supporting employees at retail locations, resolving operational issues, and maintaining oversight of the company’s Perth operating base and vehicle fleet.
You will lead a small team of employees who travel between locations to service equipment to maintain customer satisfaction.
This is not a desk-only role. You will regularly be out in the field checking standards, coaching employees and stepping in when operational support is required.
The Opportunity
Your role will be to ensure the WA operation remains organised, responsive and focused on results.
You will provide the team with clear priorities, monitor the quality and completion of their work, and ensure emerging issues are identified and actioned promptly.
A typical week may involve:
Planning field schedules and allocating operational priorities
Reviewing equipment performance and outstanding site issues
Setting & adjusting schedules
Inspecting presentation and servicing standards
Coordinating equipment installations, removals or relocations
Following up incomplete work or recurring performance issues
Checking that vehicles, stock and the warehouse are operationally ready
Reporting progress, risks and recommended actions to national management
As with any operation things can change, so you must be comfortable balancing planned work with changing operational demands.
What You Will Own
People and performance
You will lead the WA field team, establish clear expectations and ensure employees remain accountable for their work.
Your objective will not be to solve every problem personally. You will help employees become capable, accountable and confident operators while remaining available when guidance or escalation is required.
Daily field operations
You will make sure employees have the correct plans, stock, tools and information before entering the field. When problems arise, you will assess the situation, determine the appropriate response and follow the issue through to completion.
You will also spend regular time at retail locations to check standards, support employees and maintain a practical understanding of what is happening across the operation.
Commercial and operational results
You will be expected to understand how equipment availability, stock levels, presentation, location and service quality affect commercial performance.
You will review operational information, identify locations or equipment requiring attention, and convert findings into clear actions. This may include arranging additional visits, changing priorities, improving presentation, or addressing recurring faults.
Operational readiness
You will maintain oversight of the Perth operating warehouse, company vehicles, field stock and other resources required by the team.
You will not personally complete every warehouse or vehicle task, but you will be responsible for ensuring priorities are assigned, standards are maintained, and required actions are followed through.
What Success Looks Like
A successful WA Operations Supervisor will:
Maintain clear visibility of the team’s workload and priorities
Ensure scheduled work is completed accurately and on time
Keep equipment well stocked, presentable and operating reliably
Respond quickly to offline equipment and operational issues
Address performance or compliance gaps before they become established
Develop a team that can work independently without becoming disconnected
Keep management informed of important risks, progress and required decisions
Present practical recommendations rather than simply escalating problems
Maintain an organised, safe and operationally ready warehouse and vehicle fleet
Identify opportunities to improve performance, productivity and consistency
Follow actions through until the result has been confirmed
The Person We Need
You will be a practical and organised leader who is comfortable taking responsibility for a geographically dispersed operation.
You should be able to demonstrate:
Previous experience supervising a field-based, multi-site, retail, service, merchandising or operational team
Confidence setting expectations, coaching employees, and holding employees accountable
Strong planning, scheduling and prioritisation skills
A solutions-focused approach to operational problems
Confidence interpreting reports, spreadsheets and operational information
A willingness to provide hands-on assistance when circumstances require it
An interest in learning how equipment works and how common issues are resolved
Experience with equipment servicing, field merchandising, route-based operations, stock control or technical support would be helpful but is not essential.
Industry-specific training will be provided. Leadership, judgement, accountability and follow-through are more important than direct industry experience.
Important Requirements
Applicants must have:
Full Australian working rights
A full and valid Manual Australian driver’s license
Availability for full-time weekday work
The ability to travel throughout Perth and occasionally within regional WA
The fitness and energy to work across field, warehouse and office environments
Confidence using digital systems and learning new operational technology
Package and Benefits
The position includes:
Competitive salary plus superannuation
Company vehicle
Support from an experienced national operations team
Genuine ownership of WA’s day-to-day operational performance
Variety across people leadership, field operations and problem-solving
Opportunities to contribute to operational improvement and future growth
