Installation Operations Manager – Fencing, Gates, Garage Doors & Servicing

WR Engineering is looking for an exceptional leader to take ownership of our Installation & Service Division and help drive the next stage of our growth. 

This is not a role for someone who simply manages jobs. We are looking for a leader who builds people, improves systems, standards and delivers measurable business results. 

As a well-established, family-owned Canberra business, we specialise in garage doors, fencing, gates, automation and servicing across residential and commercial projects. Our reputation has been built on quality workmanship, outstanding customer service and a team-first culture. 

The Opportunity 

Reporting to senior management, you will lead our installation and servicing teams, driving operational performance across safety, quality, productivity, customer satisfaction and profitability. 

 You will be responsible for creating structure, building accountability, improving communication, developing people and ensuring our operations continue to grow efficiently. 

 This role is about leadership first. While occasional hands-on support may be required, your primary focus is leading the division and building a high-performing team. 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop installation and servicing teams

• Improve productivity, workflow, planning, scheduling and operational efficiency.

• Drive KPI performance, labour productivity, quality and customer satisfaction.

• Coach, mentor and hold team members accountable

• Improve systems, processes and communication across the business.

• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to WR Engineering standards.

• Conduct site visits, provide practical support and resolve operational issues.

• Build a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture. 

• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, customer experience and profitability. 

• Work closely with sales, scheduling, administration and senior management.

• Has proven experience leading operational or trade-based teams.

• Communicates confidently and professionally. 

• Takes ownership and delivers results. 

• Thinks commercially and understands productivity, labour efficiency and customer outcomes. 

• Is confident using technology and operational systems, with an interest in improving business performance through modern tools and automation. 

• Holds a current driver's licence.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, with occasional Saturday work to support operational requirements and project deadlines.
