Operations and Programs Manager

The Property Council of Australia is looking for an Operations and Program Manager to join our Property Council Academy team - the Learning and Development arm of our business.The Property Council Academy delivers professional development, learning programs and industry capability-building opportunities for our members and the broader property sector. This role is a key leadership position within the Academy, responsible for ensuring our programs are delivered seamlessly, our systems and processes are working effectively, and our operations continue to improve as we grow.
Reporting to the Head of People, Culture and Learning, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the Academy’s public learning program, oversee program planning and delivery, manage reporting and commercial performance, and support the continuous improvement of our learning platforms, processes and participant experience.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working across operations, systems, program delivery, stakeholder engagement and commercial reporting and who wants to play a meaningful role in supporting the development of capability across Australia’s property industry.
What you’ll be doing
Lead the operational delivery of the Academy’s public learning program, including annual calendar planning, scheduling, governance, risk management and delivery oversight.Oversee day-to-day Academy operations, including course scheduling, program set-up, inbox management, CRM administration and process coordination.Manage budgeting, forecasting and reporting in partnership with Finance and the Head of People, Culture and Learning.Use data and insights to monitor program performance, identify trends and support commercial decision-making.Help optimise key Academy systems, including the LMS and CRM, to improve efficiency, data quality and the learner experience.Lead continuous improvement initiatives that streamline processes, enhance service delivery and support a more scalable operating model.Partner with Marketing and Communications to support effective promotion of Academy programs and strengthen the Academy brand.Build strong relationships with internal teams, members, participants, facilitators, suppliers and industry stakeholders.Lead, coach and support direct reports, while contributing to a collaborative and high-performing Academy team culture.
What we’re looking forWe’re looking for someone who combines strong operational discipline with a proactive, improvement-focused mindset.
You will bring:Experience in operations, program management, education, training, learning and development, or a similar commercial service environment.Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and stakeholders.Experience working with systems such as a CRM, LMS or similar digital platforms.The ability to analyse data, prepare reports and turn insights into practical recommendations.Commercial acumen, including experience with budgets, forecasting, reporting or performance tracking.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work across teams and influence outcomes.A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities to simplify, automate and enhance processes.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering a high-quality participant and client experience.A collaborative, positive and adaptable approach, with the ability to lead and support others.
