Automotive Stock Controller

Ignition Car Centre | Stafford, Brisbane | Full-time

Ignition Car Centre is seeking an experienced Automotive Stock Controller to join our growing team in Stafford, Brisbane.

This full-time position plays a critical role in managing our new and demonstrator vehicle inventory, maintaining accurate dealership records and coordinating stock from arrival through to customer delivery.

The successful candidate will have previous automotive dealership stock-control experience and strong working knowledge of an automotive Dealer Management System (DMS). You will work closely with our sales, finance, administration and management teams to ensure every vehicle and deal is processed accurately and efficiently.

• Managing new and demonstrator INEOS and Leapmotor vehicle inventory

• Maintaining accurate vehicle records within the dealership DMS

• Processing vehicle arrivals, stock entries, transfers and registrations

• Monitoring vehicle locations, status and availability

• Coordinating vehicle movements, transport and dealership deliveries

• Managing manufacturer invoices, vehicle costs and stock records

• Processing deal documentation and preparing vehicles for settlement

• Reconciling physical vehicle stock against DMS records

• Identifying and resolving stock or system discrepancies

• Maintaining registration, compliance and vehicle documentation

• Producing regular stock reports for management

• Liaising with manufacturers, suppliers, transport providers and internal departments

• Supporting month-end stock reconciliation and reporting

• Ensuring all records are accurate, compliant and completed within required timeframes

• Proven experience as an Automotive Stock Controller or in a similar dealership administration role

• Automotive Dealer Management System experience is essential

• Strong understanding of new-vehicle stock control and dealership processing procedures

• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail

• Excellent organisational and time-management skills

• Confidence managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced dealership

• Strong data-entry, reconciliation and record-keeping skills

• Effective communication and stakeholder-management abilities

• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues

• The ability to work independently while contributing positively to the wider team

• Experience working with manufacturer portals and reporting systems will be highly regarded
