Join the culinary team at Elysium Manly and bring your passion for food and hospitality to our vibrant beachfront destination. We’re seeking Kitchen Hands and Commis / Demi Chefs to support our busy kitchen across à la carte dining, banquets and events, with opportunities to learn, grow and develop your culinary career.

Main responsibilities:

• Support food preparation and service across à la carte, banquets and events.
• Prepare and present dishes to consistently high standards.
• Maintain clean, organised and hygienic kitchen and work areas.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, stock rotation, storage and waste procedures.
• Assist with mise en place and stock requirements to support efficient service.
• Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Support the team during busy service periods while maintaining quality and efficiency.
• Kitchen Hands will assist with dishwashing, cleaning and general kitchen operations.

Your experience and skills include:

• Previous kitchen experience preferred, with hotel or high-volume experience advantageous
• Commercial Cookery qualification preferred for Commis and Demi Chef roles
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures
• Chemical handling experience & understanding of safe work practices preferred
• Strong work ethic with a positive, team-focused attitude
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• Valid Australian Working Rights / Visa is essential
