Senior Clinician

THE ROLE

The Senior Clinician is a leadership position responsible for the development, supervision, and line management of clinical staff within Forensic Disability Services. This role is integral to promoting FDS's position as a leader in the provision of contemporary treatment and care within the disability sector.

ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

• Contribute to the planning, development and delivery of training and education programs for clinical staff and other agencies working with forensic clients with a cognitive disability and assist in the selection and co-ordination of the supervision of university interns on placement with FDCS.
• Provide leadership and supervision to a team of multidisciplinary staff engaged in the delivery of specialist forensic services including individual and team performance management and staff professional development.
• The role is expected to ensure efficient and effective provision of services in forensic clinical assessment and treatments for the community. Manage, direct and lead the functions and resources of a team who provide forensic assessment and intervention for community clients and meet relevant legislative and policy requirements.

This is an NDIS Risk Assessed Role / This is a Key Personnel Role. 
Staff appointed to this role at the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing may not commence in role until they have an NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and have provided this detail for recording.
