About the Position
The City is seeking a strategic and community focused Manager Community Facilities to lead the planning, performance and continuous improvement of key community services across the City’s recreation facilities, libraries and community centres.
This senior leadership role provides strategic oversight of services delivered through three recreation facilities, three libraries and two community centres, ensuring they are inclusive, financially responsible, customer focused and responsive to changing community needs.
You will lead a diverse, multi-disciplinary team responsible for facility operations, service planning, program delivery, partnerships and customer experience, while ensuring services align with the City’s Strategic Community Plan, asset priorities, governance requirements and community wellbeing outcomes.
As a key member of the City’s leadership group, you will set direction, make informed decisions and drive integrated service delivery across community facilities to deliver measurable outcomes for the City and its community.
This is a full time, 5-year fixed term contract opportunity.
About you
You are a credible and experienced people leader with demonstrated experience operating at a senior managerial level in complex community, recreation, library, leisure or facility-based services, ideally within Local Government.
You bring sound judgement, commercial awareness and political acumen, with the ability to balance community expectations, operational priorities and strategic objectives. You are confident presenting to Council, working with partners and representing the City in high visibility settings.
Your leadership style is inclusive and empowering. You build high performing teams, foster accountability and create an environment where safety, innovation and continuous improvement are encouraged.
