About Us

Flinders Bar & Nightclub is one of Townsville’s nightlife destinations, delivering big nights, great entertainment and a high-energy atmosphere.

We’re looking for our next Venue Manager — but this time, we’re taking a different approach.

You don’t need to already be a Venue Manager.

We want to hear from the gun Assistant Manager or Duty Manager who’s ready for the next step, wants more responsibility and is hungry for the opportunity to take ownership of their own nightclub.

If you’re already the person people turn to when the venue gets busy, something goes wrong, staff need direction or a big night needs to come together — this could be your opportunity.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day operation of Flinders Bar & Nightclub, with support from an experienced management team around you.

You’ll be responsible for building a strong team, delivering successful nights, maintaining venue standards and helping drive the continued growth of the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

🔥 Leading, training and motivating the venue team
🍸 Managing staffing, stock and service standards
🎧 Overseeing events, entertainment and major trading nights
📈 Working towards sales, budget and performance targets
📣 Working alongside marketing and promotions to drive attendance
✅ Maintaining liquor licensing, safety and venue compliance
🙌 Creating a great experience for both customers and staff
💪 Taking ownership and making the venue your own

Who We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from you if you:

• Have solid experience as an Assistant Manager, Duty Manager or senior hospitality supervisor

• Are confident leading teams in a busy bar, nightclub or late-night venue

• Can think on your feet and make decisions under pressure

• Aren’t afraid to be hands-on and lead from the front

• Understand the realities of working nights and weekends

• Have strong communication and people-management skills

• Have a genuine interest in nightlife, entertainment and hospitality

• Are ambitious and ready to prove you can run your own venue

A current RMLV and Approved Manager Licence is highly regarded — and for the right candidate, we’re happy to discuss what’s required to get you ready for the role.
