Account Manager / Business Development Manager

The role:

Independent Cement & Lime's Building Products Supplies business manufactures and supplies bagged cement, dry mix and construction products across Australia. We're looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our team in a predominantly field-based role, taking ownership of a well-established territory across Sydney Metro and North Western NSW, including Newcastle, the Hunter region and Tamworth. You'll spend most of your time visiting customers, with periodic visits to our Glendenning office for team meetings and collaboration.

• Manage and grow a well-established portfolio of customers across Sydney Metro and North Western NSW.
• Build long-term customer relationships through regular visits and proactive account management.
• Identify new business opportunities and grow market share across your territory.
• Promote ICL's range of bagged and bulk cement, lime, fly ash, slag and construction products.
• Develop quotations, negotiate commercial outcomes and manage customer accounts.
• Partner with operations and logistics to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Resolve customer enquiries while monitoring purchasing trends and identifying growth opportunities.
• Maintain Salesforce, SAP and reporting, including debtor management and market insights.

About you:

You're someone who enjoys getting out in front of customers, building genuine relationships and growing accounts over time. You're commercially minded, organised and comfortable managing your own territory with minimal supervision.

You'll bring:

• Experience in Account Management, Territory Management or Business Development.
• A track record of growing customer relationships and identifying new opportunities.
• Experience within construction materials, industrial products, manufacturing or another technical B2B sales environment.
• Strong commercial acumen and the confidence to negotiate and manage customer conversations.
• A proactive approach and the ability to work autonomously.
• A current Australian Driver Licence.
• Experience within cement, concrete or building materials is highly regarded.
