The Role: 

• Assist in the delivery of external financial audits across a broad and diverse client base 

• Perform substantive audit testing across assets, liabilities, revenue and expenditure 

• Review and document internal controls, business processes and key risk areas 

• Assess control effectiveness and identify deficiencies with clear recommendations 

• Draft engagement letters, audit strategies, completion reports and audit findings for management review 

• Build strong client relationships while developing commercial understanding across multiple industries 

• Work closely with Managers and Partners to strengthen technical, analytical and communication skills 

• Local, intrastate and occasional interstate travel as required 

About You: 

• 2+ years’ Australian external audit experience within public practice 

• Strong understanding of audit methodology, accounting standards and financial reporting 

• CA/CPA commenced or completed 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related discipline 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills 

• Ability to build professional relationships with clients and colleagues 

• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving capability 

• Experience with Caseware or Accurri advantageous but not essential 

• Exposure to not-for-profit, construction, banking or professional services sectors beneficial
