About the role

We are seeking an experienced, commercially focused Retail Manager to oversee our Richmond store and connected online retail operations.

Working closely with the owner, you will be responsible for store performance, customer experience, inventory, purchasing, merchandising, online sales and staff management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily store and online retail operations.

• Achieve sales, margin and customer-service targets.

• Manage purchasing, suppliers, stock levels and inventory accuracy.

• Analyse sales data and prepare budgets, forecasts and performance reports.

• Recruit, roster, train and supervise retail employees.

• Manage visual merchandising, product launches and promotions.

• Oversee online orders, click-and-collect and customer enquiries.

• Support website and Instagram retail campaigns.

• Coordinate retail activities connected with workshops and training.

• Maintain compliance with workplace, consumer and product-safety requirements.

About you

You will have:

• At least five years of retail experience, including two years in a retail management or leadership role.

• Proven experience managing sales targets, budgets and retail KPIs.

• Strong purchasing, inventory and supplier-management experience.

• Experience managing both physical-store and online retail operations.

• Experience supervising, rostering and training employees.

• Confidence using POS, inventory and e-commerce systems.

• Excellent customer-service, communication and problem-solving skills.

• Strong commercial judgement and attention to detail.

• Availability to work Saturdays and special events when required.

• A relevant business or retail qualification, or substantial equivalent experience.

Experience in professional nail products, beauty supplies, Japanese gel systems, Shopify, Instagram retailing or workshop coordination will be highly regarded.

• $82,000–$90,000 base salary plus superannuation.
