Play a vital role in improving health outcomes by providing innovative and patient-centred clinical pharmacy services throughout the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service as a rural generalist pharmacist.

About us: 

The pharmacy department at Atherton Hospital provide pharmacy services to Atherton Hospital, Herberton Hospital and 7 Rural and Remote clinics including, Malanda, Millaa Millaa, Mt Garnet, Ravenshoe, Forsayth, Croydon and Georgetown. Current pharmacy services provided include outpatient pharmacy services, clinical pharmacy services to inpatient areas and an extensive imprest service.

About your role:

In this position you will…..

• Deliver clinical pharmacy services in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
• Promote and contribute to enhancing relationships with other healthcare providers and institutions to enhance patient flow between healthcare settings.
• Provide clinical education pertaining to routine tasks for interns, students and less experienced staff with the support of senior clinical staff.
