Make a meaningful impact on the health and wellbeing of First Nations communities across Far North Queensland in this rewarding and highly specialised pharmacy role. As part of the Community Services team, you will deliver advanced clinical pharmacy services to a diverse and complex patient cohort, helping to improve health outcomes across both the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service (CHHHS) and Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service (TCHHS).

About us: 

The Pharmacy Service provides medication management across the Healthcare facilities within CHHHS. The service provides a full and extensive Pharmacy Services at a Clinical Services Capability Framework (CSCF) Level 5.

About your role:

In this position you will…..

• Have a focus on the patients self-identifying as First Nations within the CHHHS including supporting community providers as a resource in medication management.
• Required to provide clinical pharmacy services and support by Telehealth to outlying hospitals and health services in the CHHHS and TCHHS.
• Deliver high level clinical pharmacy services within the Community Care team within the CHHHS in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision.
